Electric Vehicle Charging Load Allocation at Residential Locations Utilizing the Energy Savings Gained by Optimal Network Reconductoring

In this study, a two-stage methodology based on the energy savings gained by optimal network reconductoring was developed for sizing and allocation of electric vehicle (EV) charging load at residential locations in urban distribution systems. During first stage, Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA) applied to minimize annual losses radial system through optimum reconductoring. A multi-objective function formulated investment, peak loss, loss costs different factors. The results obtained with flower pollination algorithm were compared particle swarm optimization algorithm. second simple heuristic procedure EV every node utilizing part number cars, bikes, scooters that can be charged computed while maintaining voltage branch current constraints. simulation demonstrated 123 bus 51 networks validate effectiveness proposed methodology.
